my love/hate relationship
I’m currently working on the take home part of my Linguistics exam. I honestly really like linguistics and the concepts. I just REALLY dislike Phonology. Since I’m a more visual person it’s really hard for me to imagine certain sounds/phonemes. I’m stuck on my take home exam. For Filipino, there exists a vowel deletion before a suffix -an or -in is added. But is it possible...

New Years Resolutions:
For Korean class our 6th essay was about 3 New Year’s wishes/resolutions. Since New Years is right around the corner I thought I’d post what I wrote:
“내가 어렸을 때 소원이 많았어요. 그러나 지난 몇 년 동안 내 자신과 희망을 잃었어요. 소원을 이루기 너무 힘들 때, 내가 그들을 포기하는 것이에요. 올해 그래서 난 다르게 하려고 해요. 내년에 내가 할 수 있어요. 올해 내 소원을 이루고 싶어요. 내년 나의 세 가지 소망은 건강, 음악 실력 향상, 그리고 행운이에요.
내가 건강을 유지하기 위해 더 많은 운동을 해야 해요. 요즘 일주일 3 시간...

My level may still be a bit low, writing is still weak, grammar is probably horrible, BUT I’m working on all of that. I want to become fluent one day. =)
